AEA Be a Champion! Read! Competition

The Alabama Education Association’s annual reading challenge, “Be a Champion!  Read!” has begun!  All you need to do is read six reading-level appropriate books between now and November 7 to qualify to enter.

All qualifying students will have their name entered in a state-wide drawing for three Iron Bowl tickets.  Two sets of tickets will be given away, one to an Auburn fan and one to an Alabama fan.  The ticket winners will also get sideline and pre-game activities passes.

To participate, drop by the library to pick up your reading log, parent letter, and bookmark.  The deadline to read your six books is November 7.

See Mrs. Overstreet if you have questions.  Now, go read!

Battle of the Books 2014-2015

The Battle of the Books is a quiz-show style competition covering a selection of books.  This is our second year to participate in this competition with area schools.  We will have two teams, with up to five people per team.  Tryouts are in January 2015, so get to reading!

To try out for the Battle of the Books team, you must:

  • read as many of the Battle books as you can
